I have no problem admitting this: I cried when I heard Prop 8 had passed. Because, if someone like me - atheist, borderline pagan - can get married, why not them? I have a lot of gay/bi/lesbian friends, and just the thought that the world can tell them who they can and cannot be with makes me angry. I will never understand how so much ignorance and bigotry can still survive in the world.

But not really. Last night was miserable. My toothache progressed into a migrane, which kept me awake until well after 2am. My alarm clock wakes me up at 4:20am. I decided to call off work, as I knew I'd be of no use to anyone with a migrane/toothache and no sleep.
Slept until noon-thirty or so, decided to do something around the house to assuage my guilt over not going to work today. Started some much needed cleaning of my room. Threw out a bunch of stuff I never wear (and, subsequently, that the cats have pissed all over). There is now more than just a trail from my bed to the door - and even that usually had a boot or two blocking the way.
Allergies have kicked in, so I'm taking a bit of a break as the latest load of laundry finishes in the washing-machine, then it's off to the kitchen to do some cleaning up before I start the cupcakes for the pot-luck tomorrow. It's a UofM vs. MSU theme. Mom is doing green-and-white frosting, and I'm doing blue-and-gold. That's the plan, anyway. I'll probably end up doing all of it.
Need more hot cocoa - well... lukewarm, anyway. Fucking hell, I feel like shit...
*shuffles off in pajamas and slippers to finish laundry*
